Art Journey Melbourne

My journey continues ….Landed in Melbourne city over 10 days ago and have not had a moment to write.

This city is full of art, food and places to discover.

Flinders Lane with its galleries, Craft shop and delicious eateries.

South bank with the ACCA museum and a small but colourful and intriguing exhibition – Sovereignty focusing on contemporary art of First Nations People. Showing the amazing jewellery installation by Maree Clarke, basket weaving by Browyn Razem, paper/canvas tents by Steaphan Paton.

I loved the Luminous Realms exhibition by Kate Rohde at Craft in Flinders Lane. The Warlukurlangu Artists who exhibited at Flinders Gallery and included Joycie Morton.

The lecture I attended on David Hockney presently showing his portraits at the National Arts museum.

My visit to Montsalvat (www.montsalvat.com.au) where I saw ceramic vessels by Sharyn Masson and Madgalena Dmowska.

More to follow with a foodie intro to wine farms, taste sensations at fusion restaurants and graphic designs that are hard to beat.
